Experience:
Darren joined the firm in 1996. In 2006 he was appointed Deputy Coroner for Devon and in 2007 he also became a Deputy District Judge. He is a recent past President of Exeter Chartered Insurance Institute. Darren has considerable experience of claims and the Insurance Industry, having worked for an insurance company and then as a loss adjuster for 10 years before qualifying as a solicitor and joining Veitch Penny. He has a wealth of experience and commitment in handling complex and large value personal injury cases on behalf of insurers and local authorities. Darren also heads our Investigation Department. He defends a wide variety of injury cases but specialises in public authority, highways, sports/leisure industry, insurance and fraud. He has specialist knowledge of road and workplace fatalities having presided over Coroners Inquests.
